Mark Errington

As a Parking Enforcement Officer, my role is to ensure the safety and accessibility of public spaces by enforcing parking regulations. I patrol designated areas to check for vehicles that are parked illegally or in violation of local parking rules, such as parking too close to fire hydrants, overtime parking, vehicles with expired tags or no plates, parking on the wrong side of the street or more than one foot from the curb, and parking in prohibited places or no-parking zones. My responsibilities include issuing citations, or warnings, educating the public on parking laws, and helping to maintain clear roadways for emergency access and public safety. I also work to resolve disputes with professionalism, often using de-escalation techniques to handle tense situations.
