She died Sunday, November 25, 2007 at her residence.

Marilyn Way, a resident of Palm Springs for the past 24 years, died suddenly and peacefully in her Palm Springs home. Born September 8th, 1933 in Long Beach, CA, the youngest child of George and Anna (Redenius) Garrels, lived most of her life in Los Angeles Co., CA. She is survived by her two siblings, both former husbands, all four of her children Glenda Schumann, Cynthia Brady, Mark Errington, and Debra Dina, all 5 grandchildren Stacie, Katie, Kimberlie, Kyle, and Lily. For the past 3 years, Marilyn has enjoyed daily serving as a crossing guard for this city's young school children.
